Leena Prasad holds a master's degree in law. She has over a decade of experience litigating in various courts of Delhi, before transitioning to the social development and human rights sector. With more than 2 decades of experience in child rights, gender justice, legal empowerment, and care reform, she has worked with organisations such as Lawyers Collective, Action India, IACR, CRY (Child Rights and You), and with Udayan Care now. Here she leads initiatives focused on aftercare, care leavers, and family-based alternative care, with a focus on rights-based advocacy, participatory approaches to capacity building, and influencing policy and practice through evidence-based research for vulnerable children and youth.
