Chief Impact Officer, VigyanShaala InternationalAnushila is an internationally trained Biomedical scientist who has transitioned into the social development sector. She is passionate about finding sustainable solutions to retain highly skilled women power in science, and training and mentoring next generation of scientists. Anushila received my PhD in Biochemistry from State University of New York at Buffalo, and post-doctoral training in Microbiology from University of Colorado, School of Medicine. Upon returning to India, she joined VigyanShaala International where she currently leads the Program and Curriculum Design team. A major part of her role at VigyanShaala is to develop online career development courses, experiential STEM projects that can be pursued in home-labs with frugal techniques, and mentor talented first-generation university learners from marginalized communities across India. Additionally, she assists participating mentors to develop critical mentoring skills and design SMART scientific projects for students coming from institutions with limited research opportunities.
