Founder, Care Leavers' Advocacy Network (CLAN)
Pooja Udayan holds an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London, and is a Chevening Scholar. She is a development sector professional with lived experience of growing up in a childcare institution (Udayan Care), which has shaped her deep commitment to supporting care-experienced young people. With more than seven years of experience in CSR roles at Genpact, Tata Croma, and Ernst & Young, Pooja has worked on programmes focused on children’s education, health, mentorship, and women’s empowerment. Pooja, along with other care-experienced youth from Delhi, co-founded the Care Leavers’ Advocacy Network (CLAN). CLAN supports care leavers in higher education, livelihoods, and social–emotional learning, and also leads aftercare advocacy to strengthen systems for young people transitioning out of childcare institutions.
