Chief Operating Officer, Veddis FoundationVaishali Samanta is the Chief Operating Officer at Veddis Foundation, a philanthropic Foundation looking to solve large-scale challenges in India through evidence-based giving. Veddis invests in organisations working at the intersection of technology, policy, and impact. With a mission to create deep, measurable and irreversible impact, it works alongside governments towards data-driven governance and building state capacities. She has over two decades of cross-sectoral experience panning the government as well as the social impact space and is a strategic advisor for government partnerships. Having worked closely with the government, she ensures that partner programs influence and contribute to the government’s policy agenda. Previously, Vaishali led the Ministry of External Affairs’ diaspora engagement initiative, to facilitate overseas Indian philanthropy into the government’s priority areas. Vaishali also mentors social impact organisations on strategy and scale-ups and is deeply interested in building credible evidence, process pathways for change and long-term measurable impact.
